Farm Pickup of Grain

  1. The fee for harvest on-the-farm pickup will be $70/hour from the time the truck arrives at your farm to the time the job is completed, 1 hour minimum.
  2. You will be expected to sign a time-of-arrival sheet and the trucker will sign a time-of-unload sheet.
  3. Trucks will be dispatched by Topflight Grain Cooperative from the Bement Office.
  4. Grain will be delivered to a Topflight Grain facility.
  5. You must notify us 24 hours in advance so we can schedule the trucks.

Trucks will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis. Trucking fees will be charged to your account at Topflight Grain Cooperative, based upon time charged by the trucking firm to Topflight Grain Cooperative.

The semi trucks need to be loaded on the road or in an area that is easily accessible.

As you determine the benefits of this program to your operation, estimate an average semi truck load of corn at 900 bushels (straight trucks will not be used). Other variables to consider are:

  1. Speed at which the semi truck can be loaded at your farm (auger wagons would be an asset, but are not required).
  2. Distance from your farm to the elevator in Bement, Milmine, LaPlace, Pierson, Atwood, Cisco, Emery, Maroa, Monticello or Seymour.
  3. Cost of your labor and equipment to truck the grain versus the $70/hour fee.

Post Harvest Farm Pickup
